"Larry Crowne" will be produced by Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks's partner in the movie production company, Playtone. The mvoie tells the life story of a middle-aged man, forced to start a new career.Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks have played together in "Charlie's War" launched in 2007 by Universal. The most recent movie is directed by Tom Hanks comedy musical "Rock'n'Roll / That Thing You Do" (1996).
Julia Roberts, 42 years old, holding an Oscar, for her starring role in "Pretty Woman" was working on two other cinema productions "Eat, Pray, Love" and "Valentine's Day ". Tom Hanks, who was rewarded with Oscars for his roles in movies "Forrest Gump" (1994) and "Philadelphia" (1995), returned to the big screen in May when the movie officially launched Angels and Demons, a movie inspired, like "The Da Vinci Code" from a novel by American writer Dan Brown.
